nutella meringues

...i guess it is time for another sweet treat...i am not particular a big fan of nutella and had to buy some only to try this recipe...and yes... it was really worth it.

this is what you need

- 3 large egg white ( room temperature )
- pinch of cream tartar
- pinch of salt
- 130g sugar
- 60g nutella

this is what you have to do

- preheat oven to 150 degrees celsius

- warm nutella in double boiler

- let nutella cool as you make the meringues

- beat egg white with the whisk attachment on medium high speed until they are completely foamy

- add cream of tartar and salt and contiune whipping at medium high speed for a few minutes

- once you have reached the soft peak stage, increase the speed to high and begin adding the sugar a few spoonfuls at a time

- the meringue should be very thick with firm peaks

- remove the bowl from the mixer and add all the nutella

- gently fold the nutella into the meringue a few times, using a rubber spatula

- your meringue should have a swirled effect

- using two spoons, drop the meringue onto lined baking sheets

- place in the oven for 10 minutes

- after 10 minutes lower the heat to 90 degrees celsius and rotate the baking sheets from the top to the bottom

- after one hour, if the meringues are completely dry, turn off the oven and leave them in the oven for a few hours to cool

- enjoy
