tin can gift wrapping idea

an empty tin can as gift wrap...???
why not...???

....with a few layers spray-paint and some decoration, you can easily glam up nearly everything...you just meed to give it a try.

gift wrapping is something i am always in need of... i love to bring a homemade little something, whenever i meet up with friends...and if you are know as a bit crafty...you can't just wrap your little somethings in tupperware or store-bought wrapping paper.

...due to my passion to repurposing and upcycling, i see potential everywhere...bottles, cartons, bags, cans...all sort of containers.

this tin can project, was one of those, i was thinking of since quite some time amd finally dared to go for it.

...there is a weak point, which i am not hiding, more so i hope i could get any advise on how to improve.

but let's get started first

this is what you need

- tin can

- can opener

- decorative flower

- hot glue

- spray-paint

this is what you have to do

- get your tin can ready

- remove the paper label of the tin

- if there are any glue residues, do also remove those

- i just love tins with full-top pull-tabs...isn't it cool to only get access to your gift, when pulling a fancy opening mechanism...i think it is

- sooo cool...!!!

- you now have to turn the tin upside down

- get your can opener ready

- open the can

- empty and clean the inside of the tin thoroughly

- get your hot glue gun ready

- place your gift inside the tin can

- apply the hot glue onto the rim of the can and place the lid back to its original position

- and here we can see the my problem...i created a super mess while gluing the lid to the tin can and i have no idea how i could have avoided this

- it got a little after spray-painting the can, but still it was messy

- turn your tin around again

- apply some glue to the decoration flower

- press it firmly onto the upper part of the tin can

- here we go

- get your spray-paint ready

- spray-paint the tin can from all sides

- and this is another way to wrap your precious gifts.

here you can find what inspired me for this project
